Abstract- In this research paper, we will examine how the metaphor of the oil industry is uniquely manifested in English and Mongolian, based on language examples, and use the Metaphor Identification Method (MIP Steen 1999) to consider the unique metaphors that reflect the characteristics of English and Mongolian culture. Studied to show how they are different and similar. As for the theoretical model of the research work (CMT), the study was conducted within the framework of the conceptual metaphor model. As a result of the research work, we emphasize the universality of metaphors and the fact that they express the characteristics of culture and thinking, and we believe that in the future when translating technical and technological terms, metaphors can be replaced by metaphors that express the national characteristics of the language being translated and reflect the unique characteristics of thinking.
