The International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research (IJSSHR-MIYR) welcomes original research articles, theoretical papers, case studies, and critical reviews in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Education, training, and lifelong learning
  • Sociology, anthropology, and cultural studies
  • Psychology, satisfaction, and well-being
  • Economics, political science, and development studies
  • Media, communication, and digital society
  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) studies
  • Innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior

The journal particularly encourages submissions addressing pressing social issues in Mongolia, Central Asia, and other under-researched regions, as well as comparative and cross-national studies linking local and global perspectives.

Beginning with Volume 5, Issue 3, all issues are published exclusively on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to ensure transparency, indexing compatibility, and long-term digital preservation.

Editorial Team

The journal is guided by an international Editorial Board composed of experienced scholars and experts in social sciences and humanities.
The Editorial Board plays a central role in maintaining academic quality, ethical standards, and the relevance of published content.

Submission Guidelines

The journal accepts:

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJSSHR-MIYR undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Each submission is evaluated by:

  • The Editorial Board, and
  • Two to three independent external reviewers

Review criteria include:

  • Relevance and originality
  • Theoretical and practical significance
  • Logical structure and creativity
  • Methodological rigor and data analysis
  • Clarity of writing and presentation
  • Contribution to education and society

Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Manuscripts authored by the Editor-in-Chief are handled independently by another editor.

The average processing time is 7–8 weeks, with peer review typically completed within approximately 4 weeks.

Frequency of Publication

IJSSHR-MIYR is published quarterly, with issues released in:

Special issues may be published on emerging topics or in collaboration with academic conferences, subject to Editorial Board approval.

All issues are published electronically and made immediately available online.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support peer review, editorial management, typesetting, DOI registration, and digital archiving, the journal applies the following fees:

  • Review Fee: MNT 130,000 (non-refundable, payable upon submission)
  • Publication Fee: MNT 374,000 (payable upon acceptance)

No additional charges apply for color figures, supplementary materials, or online access.
Fee waivers or discounts may be considered for authors from low-income countries or under special circumstances upon request.

Open Access and Copyright Licensing

The International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research – MIYR (IJSSHR-MIYR) is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely accessible online immediately upon publication.

Authors retain the copyright of their published work. Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly cited.
