
Dr. Batsaikhan Ganbaatar, Senior Researcher, Division of Forest Resources and Protection of the Institute of Geography and Geoecology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. His Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the Mongolian University of Life Sciences in 2020, with a dissertation focused on the growth characteristics and productivity of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) plantations in the Tujiin Nars region. From 2022 to 2025, he has been engaged in a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Freiburg, Germany. With 19 years of research experience at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Ganbaatar currently holds the position of Senior Researcher at the Division of Forest Resources and Protection. Between 2021 and 2025, he authored or co-authored 21 peer-reviewed scientific papers—five published in high-impact international journals, five in journals indexed by the Web of Science, and eleven in nationally recognized academic journals in both Mongolian and English. In addition to his scholarly publications, Dr. Ganbaatar has presented nine research papers at national and international scientific conferences. He is also actively involved in science communication and public outreach through various media platforms and educational programs.
